Studio 1

↑ Live room

Studio 1:

Luft Studios is a state-of-the-art recording facility that offers unparalleled quality and comfort. We've designed the space with acoustic excellence in mind, ensuring utmost clarity and precision within our walls. We have a wide selection of gear all running through our 32 ch API 2448 console.

Our live room spans a generous 75 square meters and boasts an abundance of natural daylight from two large windows, creating a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere. This space is specially designed to cater to the creative needs of audio production, allowing musicians to fully immerse themselves in their music while feeling comfortable and at ease within our microperforated oak walls. This room sounds lush on drums, our Yamaha C6X Premium grand piano or string quartets.

Control room of Luft Studios

The control room:

The control room is equipped with our champion console, the Audient 4816, paired with our ATC 110 speakers, and an impressive collection of classic outboard, synths, and effects. This combination of cutting-edge equipment and vintage gear gives our guests access to an unparalleled range of sonic possibilities. Pleased to tell you that our "dialed in" air-con works like a clock as well.

The iso room has a tighter/dead sound making it ideal for vocal recording and other close mic'ed sources.

Our amp-cab room is a completely dead room. The room can stack up to 3 4x12 cabs and has both cable and XLR ins/outs.

Let's get technical:

Acoustics

Our acoustics are carefully crafted to deliver both warmth and accuracy, impressing both producers, musicians and engineers alike. Our walls and ceiling are made of microperforated panels by Makustik with 0.03 mm absorption holes. The room is experienced as relatively sonorous, but controlled with a reverberation time of approx. 0.5 – 0.6 seconds with even distribution over the frequency range.

Tie Lines

Our live room has a generous amount of 48 tie-lines into the control room, as well as speaker, XLR out and network cables throughout the facility. We use Aurora Lynx as our main converter which can record up to 192Hz.

Ceilings

Our ceilings are mounted with rigging rails that can hold heavy duty equipment such as lights for visual productions or if you need to have a 300kg disco ball hanging from the ceiling just for vibes. We gotcha.

Blackout & Air-Con

We have air conditioners that can be dialed in running at an extermely low volum. The room can also be 100% blacked out with the window blenders. This applies also between the control room and Live room.

Ayka’s Doggy Bag brings together twelve songs that balance melancholy with a playful, offbeat spirit. The Oslo-based artist’s self-produced debut embraces loose edges and instinctive choices, giving its slacker-rock sound a warm, personal character. Honest and unpredictable, it’s a record that makes room for both vulnerability and humour.
